Fresh Produce Induction


This program is a self paced online learning module aimed at new workers entering the Fresh Produce Industry.


As an employer, you will need to allow adequate time to ensure new employees receive appropriate induction training and support, including all aspects of a workplace health and safety induction on the farm. The Fresh Produce Industry includes fruit, nut and vegetable growing and processing.

Target Audience:

Any person who is to carry out work in the Fresh Produce Industry should complete general induction training. This training provides people new to the industry with a basic knowledge of work health and safety requirements. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the fresh produce industry, characteristics and workplace requirements.
  • Understand the components of personal safety, rights and responsibilities.
  • Recognise food safety and quality issues when working with fresh produce.
  • Identify risks and challenges when working on a farm or production facility.
